Teach Soap

Does anyone know if there is any way to send soap donations to Japan? I know they need food/blankets/water....just about everything. But they will also need soap to maintain sanitary conditions. I checked the cleantheworld.org and red cross sites and could not find anything about sending actual items, if anyone knows anything it would be greatly appreciated.

From what I have seen, most soapers are sending their soaps to cleantheworld.

Super, I have 2 big boxes to send off. We are in the middle of moving and i want to donate anything that i can't take with me.

How are you SB? Did the earthquake affect the California folks much?

I wanted to share what he sent to me in case anyone has questions.

Thanks for the note and for your interest in Clean the World. We will be posting a letter today on our Clean the World website (www.cleantheworld.org) that talks about our plans for Japan and elsewhere. At the present time we are working with our global distribution partners to see if we can get soap into Japan. From what we hear, financial donations may be needed most at this time to facilitate the delivery of products into the earthquake and tsunami-stricken regions. But we'll update everyone via our website, Facebook and Twitter sites if this changes.

By all means, please send us your soaps. We'll gladly receive those in advance of the final word on what will be done to help Japan. After all, we distribute soaps to more than 40 countries, so even if Japan cannot or will not receive soaps from us, we know countries and communities that will.
