I too have an Etsy shop, 2 of them in fact. I started the first one in Nov 09 and just started the 2nd one last month. When I started it was ok around the holidays but now I'm luck to sell 1 bar a month. I looked at your GREAT shop tartchef. How clever! Your photos are great and everything looks very professional. I've done a lot of promoting but maybe I just don't know how to promote properly. I have sent some samples for review and extras for a giveaway this month so I hope that helps me some. I wanted to start a new shop that focused on the "food" scents and lip balms other items you can make with beeswax. I've had 1 order to far. I'm also having a free shipping soap sale now and you also get 1 free if you buy 3. Still now takers. I can't stop though since I'm addicted to making the stuff I need to sell it somewhere and I do love Etsy. Tonight I've spent $100 on fragrance oils and I'm not even making soap right now only the lip balm and solid perfumes. I know I can use them in the perfumes.
Anyway, I wanted to let you know how impressed I am with you shop and "you go girl!"
