This is my first time making a lemon scented soap and the scent of the essential oil in the soap is faint. I added 1/2 (0.50) oz per pound. Should I be adding more?

Citrus tends to fade. Try anchoring it with a little Patchouli. I know there are others but I can't think of them because I don't have them myself. If you search this forum, there are a lot of posts about fading scents.

Lemon and orange usually fade. Try adding Litsea, Vetiver ot Patchouli.
