I made my second soap yesterday, which came out way better than my first one. The cut product actually looks like nice bars instead of irregular soap chunks!
But I have decided I don't like adjustable molds any more. If either of the two adjustable ends is just a little shorter than the other, or one side of the mold is tightened too much, the pieces are not snug and secure. Before I mixed my soap up, I thought I had the mold tightened and adjusted just right so it would hold. But when I poured the traced soap into the mold, one end kept bowing out at the bottom. And when I picked up the mold to move it somewhere out of the way to gel, the bottom of the mold fell out! The only thing that kept the soap from spilling all over the counter was the wax paper lining that held it up!
