Teach Soap

So, everything went wrong with my last batch. I've made the recipe before with a different FO--coconut oil, mango butter, beef tallow and olive oil, with saffron & honey FO--but that was not the problem. I poured too hot and it went into gel phase immediately and looks exactly like cheap Brie. Also evidence of DOS on the sides, soda ash all over the top, crumbly on the top, fingernail-soft on the sides ...

When can I rebatch these poor things? I made the batch about 5 days ago and it still looks disastrous.

You can rebatch as soon as the soap is done.

thank you, Irena! You know everything. Will the gel fade or does it look like that even when it's cured?

I don't know about everything, but I do know about soap. When you rebatch, the soap will go back into gel. Rebatching won't change the color that it is now.
