I guess overheating is a possibility. I've never had that happen. I did freeze the oat milk and added the lye to it. It was very odd. I guess maybe oat milk is not the right term. I boil oatmeal on the stove in water and then add more water and stuck blend the crap out of it until it is very liquid. When I added the lye and it melted the ice cubes, it got super thick, like cooked oatmeal. I kept stirring (I think I stirred for about 20 minutes total) until I felt like the lye would be dissolved. Everything came together fine. I combined everything when the temps were about 85° which is way cooler than I normally do but the lye mixture never got super hot. I wish I could post pics but not able to from my kindle and I don't have a pc at the moment.
