Hi Folks -

I am thinking about making some coconut milk CP soap.

What advice can you give me on this?

How much water do I delete per x amount of coconut milk added and how does this affect my lye rate?

When in the soap making process is the milk added?

What are some reputable sources for the milk?

Discount your water for the exact amount of coconut milk. The lye amount would still stay the same. I normally superfat at 7-8%. If you use minimum water required to dissolve your lye, then you can add the rest as coconut milk as soon as the oils and lye is combined. You should be able to find coconut milk in your local grocery store. Make sure that the milk has no guar gum, which can make your soap seize.
