I haven't really used any purees except pumpkin in soap so I was wondering does Mango or Papaya stay orange in soap or does it go brown as well?

Well poo..... ok then does pumpkin go brown as well? I have only used it in my pumpkin soap and the fragrance discolors so it always goes dark anyway.

Pumpkin turns more of an orangey tan to brown.

I have tried peach puree with UM Pink and it tinted the pink an orangey pink. It soaped well and stored well :)

This soap was made with 50% pumpkin puree and 50% water. Home made pumpkin puree, so it is a little bit lighter than the canned version! Has faded to a pale yellow, but took a year to do so. :mrgreen:

Weird, because I use mango puree, 1 oz PPO, and it stays a beautiful orangey color.
I have been making this particular soap for 4 or 5 years, and it has always been consistent - never discolors.

Anything I have used, in the way or veggies or fruits, that is orange or red has held its color just fine. The green stuff (mint leaves, avocado, etc) is what goes brown for me.

I have seen pretty pink soap made with strawberry puree, but I'm not sure how long the pink colour sticks around. I know that after 2 weeks they were still pretty!

EDIT: is a video of strawberry puree in milled (rebatched) soap!
