Teach Soap

i'm just started learning to make soap,
I make a batch of breast milk soap yesterday nite done by 10pm,
this morning before i left to work, i took a peek at my soap,
there is this waterly? oil ? on my soap
Is this normal??

What was your recipe? Did you run it through a soap calc? At what temp did you combine oils and lye? Did you reach a true trace? Did the soap gel? If the soap gelled, did you check the spots for zap?

Here is my recipe;
Olive Oil - 245g
Coconut - 147g
Palm - 210g
Rice Bran - 63g
Canola - 35g

Lye - 100g
Milk - 304g

Jasmine EO - 8ml

Combine temp at : Milk - 18C, Oil - 34C
it trace, but i dunno whether is true trace or not
I think the soap did not gelled, coz at the 1st hr.. there is no sign of "gel" on top of the soap.
is this a fail batch??

100 grams of lye is only 3% superfat. I would have gone for 96 grams for a 7% superfat. My soap calc has 262 milliliters of liquid for the milk portion. The temps for your milk and oils needs to be within 10 degrees of each other. Yours has too much difference in the temps.
My deduction would be that the lower temp of the milk solidified some of your oils and you reached a false trace. You did not get gel because of the lower temp. Breast milk does has some fat, but not enough to make a difference.

To see if the spots zap, dampen your finger. Touch that finger to one of the liquid spots, then touch that to your tongue. If it zaps, it will feel like licking a battery or a snap of a rubber band. Have some fruit juice handy to rinse your mouth out with.

You could rebatch and add a little more oil, but you will loose the light color. For just starting out, I would keep the soap simple, so you know what trace is, what gel is and so you don't waste expensive essential oils.

PS. For that size batch, 8 ml. of jasmine essential oil would not be enough.

I try the zap, it does feel like a tiny sting.
i will rebatch it
this batch i separate into 2 mould;
1st mold i leave on my counter, and this batch is the one have oil on the soap
2nd mold i refrigerated for 24hr
here is how it look, after i remove from the fridge

and this morning, the color seem darker..

Yes, rebatch is a safe choice. Milk soaps normally do get a bit darker.
