ok, so my first go at beer soap has produced really pretty soap, with the exception that it has "crystals" for lack of a better descriptor. Also, it does not smell like the eos i used. in fact it kind of smells like butt. what is the deal???

have you zap tested the crystals? it may be lye heavy or have lye pockets in it.

licked my finger touched a crystalized area, touched my tongue again, no zap. I have no idea what that means. did I zap test?? I have no idea.

Do you have a picture of it? Can you tell us when you added the beer, if it was flat, cold or warm, etc.?
