Teach Soap

The main reason we prefer using homemade soap is for benefit of the butter/oil in the soap.
But, my question is , how well do we rinse?
Will we wash away all the good stuff in the soap?

You're going to want to rinse soap completely off otherwise it can leave a film which can make you itchy.

If you want the benefits of the butters/oils for your skin, then I'd use them in a lotion or body butter.

Handmade soap cleans. It doesn't moisture. It cleans gently without stripping the skin.

Then what is the point to spend so much trouble to have different recipe, different oil, and
use different essential oil to make soap?

Different oils in soap do different things. Some make the soap harder, some make bigger bubbles, some make them less cleansing which means they strip less oils from your skin, some make a great lather, etc.
As for essential oils, they make the soap smell good without using synthetic fragrances. Some people prefer not to use synthetic fragrance.

Definitely don't give up. Soap might not moisturize your skin, but with the right recipe you can make soap that's less drying than most store bought soaps.

From my experience of switching from detergent shampoo and conditioner, to "no poo" to cold process shampoo bars, the main benefit is that our skin (and hair) highly benefits from the absence of those detergents and chemicals. When you don't use the detergents and chemicals so often anymore, most people find that they don't need all the extra stuff to re-moisturize or "lock in" moisture anymore.

I think we need to be mindful that our skin is our largest organ and only requires 8 seconds of contact with the soap or anything before it is absorbed into our system. Can't recall where I read that but shall search. In my shower I tend to suds up all over and soak up the goodies then rinse well. My skin has never felt so great ,much more youthful(maybe I am stretching here as I am 64).

If it is 8 seconds before the skin absorbs, we would all drown if we took a bath. Skin is an incredible organ that keeps a lot of things out.
