I've done two rebatches now. Both were high oo goat milk soaps, uncolored, one with fragrance and one without. Both were batches that I'm pretty sure overheated.
Any time I see video/pictures of rebatched soap, it's white/ivory. Both of mine turned very brown. Not unpleasant, especially this last one I really enjoy- I really mounded up that top so it has that really cool "I'm a super rustic handmade soap" look (or I'm just a proud mama who thinks all her little soap babies are beautiful, the jury is still out on that one...), and I used a sample I had of snickerdoodle and buttercream from BB. I know that scent browns, and it certainly turned the soap more brown than the first one (but it's like swirled brown- it looks awesome I tell you!). What is it (other than the colorant, obviously) that makes rebatched soap turn brown? Am I cooking too hot? Because both batches were overheated CPOP batches? Is it the goat milk?
Oh, here's a picture of the most recent rebatch after I cut it
