OHHHHHH YEAH! That's happened to me plenty of times! Luckily, many of the fragrance suppliers (including Bramble Berry) will provide information on how a fragrance will behave in C/P (discolor, accelerate trace, etc.).

I've had colorants act up, too. I was using a liquid colorant get a violet shade but it turned my soap batter a really yucky grey. I was going to throw the whole batch away but my husband said to keep it. I was glad that I listened to him because after the batch went through gel phase and then cooled, it did turn out to be a pretty shade of violet...

GO FIGURE!!

I did cpop to this batch and this is what it looks like as of this morning when I unmolded and cut. I do know that the white spots are the titanium dioxide that did not completely dissolve. I don't know why it didn't but whatever.


It looks like it has a hard candy shell. Do you think that will change as it sits?

If it has any vanilla in it, it will most likely discolor. I've had a vanilla batch that had the same color on the outside, with yellowish cream on the inside. Over a period of time, it all darkened to the same color.
