......my Konnor's 5th bday. I dont suppose I can call him a baby anymore can I? Atleast not in front of him.......lol

I want to take this time too, to thank alllll of you, so much. I still get letters about Konnor's lye accident, and I still cry in every single one of them. The support you guys have shown our family, we3ll, I cant even put my thoughts on that into words because there aren't any words to express the depths of gratitude that I feel for you guys.....

But yea.......my baby is 5 today. And he, um, thinks that he's now a legal adult.

here's a recent picture of him, the most beautiful boy in the world.........he's whole and healthy and happy, and his vision is PERFECT....

Honey, I'm one of those that have written. And I was just thinking about him this weekend, and how I should write you again to tell you what a wonderful, SAFE experience I've had because you had the courage to write down your story. Because of you, I am a more careful soaper. Seriously. And because of you, I can enjoy soaping more because I was aware of the power of lye BEFORE I started.

Thank you for this photo! And, Happy Birthday Konnor.

I think that a small update to your story on the Teach Soap site with a photo of happy, healthy Konnor would be a good thing. What do you think?

I think an update would be great Anne Marie! He's doing great. He still sees Dr LaFleur for an annual check up even though Dr LaFleur says he doesn't need to see him for a few years or unless we have some concern. His vision is perfect. He does have some scarring on the inner canthus of that right eye, but you cant see it unless you pull the lower lid down. It doesn't cause him any irritation or interfere with the eyes natural cleansing ability. Lower abdominal scars are fading as he grows, no irritation from those. He's momma's little champ!!

Wow........it will be 3 years next month.....he had just turned 2 when it happened.

And thanks guys for all the birthday wishes. He had a great bday! I had to bake him a TURKEY. And I did find out, that a more than half frozen turkey will bake perfectly and completely in a slow oven (300 degrees) for about 6 hours. And he said his strawberry cake was the "best I ever had!" Thanks to Duncan Hines......lol

Someone wrote me a while back and said something to the effect of "he may be your kid, but he's ours too". With all the love and positive energy around my sweet tater, he should be floating on bubbles.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG GUY! :D

And, MOM, if he thinks he's all grown up NOW, just wait until he gets a driver's license! You've got so many great times ahead.

Your story had an impact on everyone who read it. I thought of you AND your precious boy every time I mixed a lye solution. I am so happy that he is healthy and whole.

Your love and devotion certainly shines through!

Happy Birthday, Konnor!
