This is with the Deep Purple liquid colorant in white MP soap. And of course, it's a fabulous color but whoops! Totally not the look I was going for. =)

This is not a great example, but I used micas to dye these dots. This picture was taken the day after I made them and already the edges are getting blurry. Pretty soon the dots blended together and you literally could not see them anymore. It was just one big blobby mess!

The lesson was: just because a color is powdered does not mean it's non-bleeding. Some micas are colorfast but some aren't. Bramble Berry has a great list of which are non-bleeding .

Last night I made a new version of this style, though. Luckily I have learned from my mistakes! :)
