I have taken to spritzing the top of the soap I let gel with 91% alcohol and am pleased with the results. I just made a batch and put it in the frig so it doesn't gel. Do I need to worry about soda ash on no-gelled soap??

I find that some of my recipes, even if they don't gel, are prone to soda ash. I do the same and make sure they gets spritzed with alcohol.

It really depends on your recipe. I prefer not to gel and a few do get soda ash.
