S I was boiling some beer down for a soap for my dad then I got a bit distracted (because said father made us some antelope for lunch

) and so after lunch I was done with lunch I was 90% sure I turned of the stove. well I come down an hour later and instead of reducing it by half I reduced it to this around a 24th of its original size... oops :shock:

so I guess this will be added at trace opposed to mixing my lye into it

....That's about as concentrated as you are going to get! Kudos to your dad, who obviously knows how to eat. :mrgreen:

Just add some water back in to get it to the liquid that you need for your recipe. At least it didn't get burned.

Rosie 99 love your idea re adding beer to soap. I didn't know you had to make a concentrated liquid. Plus flat. So how concentrated are we looking for so I shall have a try . :idea:

you don't have to concentrate but I had 25 oz of beer and only need 12 so i decided concentrating couldn't hurt it so I just went for it but you do have to boil of the alcohol off hope this answers your question

Aha makes sense. Forgot about the obvious alcohol content. :mrgreen:

Thanks for that. I am going to use up some of my hb OLD beer that was bought for him and he doesn't like it. Will be a bit of fun. Hugs liz
