Teach Soap

I can't describe how much I love this soap .... My Gm, Oatmeal, and Honey soap. My husband and I used to raise bees, so the honey is from our own hives.

Made and molded this morning, sitting in the freezer now .... and am going to be anxious about the 3 weeks it takes to use it. Just thought I'd share a photo

Congrats! It looks good. One thing though, especially since you aren't gelling, I'd let it cure longer than 3 weeks. Personally, I always do a minimum of 4 weeks (and I gel), but I prefer 6. To each his own though, just be cautious.

Grats! It looks good enough to eat. I usually cure for 6 weeks as well. It really helped to take a good batch and try a bar out at 3 weeks, 4 weeks, etc through 8 weeks or more. That way you know what works for you with your recipe and your conditions.

That's one of the reasons I like to CPOP- you don't have to wait as long to use the soap!

It is a misconception that cpop soap doesn't need as long to cure. Oven processing only ensures a gel, it doesn't fully cook the soap, so you do still need to cure it. Only hp soap cooks the soap and fully saponifies the lye to where you can safely use it immediately.
