its been too long since ive made cp soap . my question is when when i come across a recipe and it lists palm oil as one of the ingredients , does that mean it's liquid palm oil only? Or can i use my palm kernel oil that is hydrogonated? I already bought a 50lb. box of this stuff and would love to know if the two are interchangable.
thanks to everyone

They have different SAP values. Palm Kernel oil is closer to coconut oil then palm. Just recalc your recipe. :)

I use this lady's site as a "starting point" for my recipes, then I start tweaking, depending on what I have on hand.

http://www.millersoap.com/soapallveg.html

That's a link to her all-veg recipes. She also has recipes with animal fats.

of course, when I tweak, I use a lye calculator!
