Hello all. I am new to soap making. I've made four batches and am interested in making a white unscented soap. From what I've gathered, titanium dioxide can be used to whiten a soap, but some oils will definitely contribute to discoloration. I'd appreciate some recommendations for the best oils for avoiding discoloration. Thank you.

Best oils for white soap that I can think of off hand: CO, refined shea butter, EVOO (mine turns stark white after a 6 month cure).

I'd avoid avocado, unrefined butters, sesame, hemp,

Do a 100% coconut with a 20% superfat for blinding white soap.

Genny - which OO do you use? I got some recently at Sam's Club that is very pale, but I haven't had a chance to soap with it yet.
