I have seen Soy wax tarts in Loaf form that you slice to use on etsy lately. I cannot figure out how this is being done. They say the soy loaf cuts like butter??? I would love to make some for additions to Christmas presents this year, can anyone help with the reciepie? Thanks for any info you can give!

Do you have a link? It should have their ingredient list on their listing somewhere that should give you an idea on how to do it...

I've looked at this product before and I can't find ingredients anywhere. They say it's proprietary. Sounds to me like they are adding an oil (coconut, soy) or some mineral oil for softness. I had a link to more info, but now I can't find it.

Well, the one I originally saw is on maternity leave, so her etsy is closed for now, but the facebook link is: https://www.facebook.com/BSFHandmade. I can't find any info other than "Soy"...

If it just says soy, then they're probably adding soybean oil to soy wax. I've made them before (60% soy wax to 40% soybean oil)

Everywhere I have seen them, they say they are either 100% Soy, or a para/soy blend. I thought that parafin was a hard wax?
I might experiment with the soybean oil to see how it slices and how the scent throw is for them. The sliceable just sounds so interesting to me! LOL
I love making my own tart!! I am always burning them throughout the house!

Yeah, you mix oil in the wax. I've made them a couple times, but I don't find the scent throw is as nice as with pure wax. Plus the logs have a much lower melting point and can't be shipped or anything in the summer. It's a neat idea though!
