Teach Soap

Hello everyone!

I'm new to soap making (: I recently bought my supplies from Bramble berry and I'm just waiting for them to ship to me. (:

But before I start making soaps I want to ask a few questions. . .

Can you mix m&P with CP soaps? Like. . . make a CP soap and put like a layer of M&P on top? I couldn't really find any answers when I googled this so I hope I can get some answers here!

I've done mp embeds in cp and vice versa. I've never done a full layer of mp combined with cp though. Keep in mind that the mp will a lot of times melt if you gel your cp & when using the soap, the mp will dissolve quicker.

My friend recently made a soap and it was the MP type and it smelled heavily of glycerin. . is this the case for all MP soaps?

Which base did she use for her mp? I haven't noticed any issues when I use my bases. Which EO's and FO's did she use?

If you never made CP soap before, I would start with just CP or just MP. There is a chance that the MP whipped top might not adhere to the CP bottom. I have swirled MP with CP or used MP as embeds.
