Hello I am just starting to learn and self teach soap making via you tube. I have a couple of questions can any recipe be used for cp or hp process. And I am trying to figure out superfatting. I watch videos and they add the superfat during the end of the hp process and they say the lye calculator will calc this for me but I can't see that on it. Can someone please guide me through this.

Welcome!
It's much easier to add all your oils right up front. Lye does not discriminate. It will take whatever it wants. There is no guarantee that any particular oil or butter will end up as your superfat.
Superfat is also called a lye discount. What that means that the less lye you use, the more superfatted the soap will be.
Any recipe can be used as CP or HP. Some people do a 5% superfat. I prefer a 7-8% superfat as anything below my skin finds drying.
Always run ANY recipe through a lye calculator and superfat. There are many recipes online that are not safe or are lye heavy.
