Some micas do bleed in M&P because they are little flakes dyed with D&C colorants (which are often bleeders).

I personally do not dissolve my powders in fragrance oils because then it's harder to gauge how much fo you are using. For example, if you dissolved too much oxide in your fo, you won't use all of your mixture, therefore wasting some fo. If you didn't use enough oxide, then you'll have to use more fo to get the color you want and your soap might be too strongly scented. That's why I prefer alchohol to dissolve powders. But ultimately my favorite are colorants already dissolved in glycerin.

I learned at the Soapmaking Weekend Intensive at Otion that a good percentage of colorant to glycerin is 30% colorant to 70% glycerin.
