Teach Soap

Just today I made a clear soap with (soap) blueberries and raspberries. But when I poured the 2nd layer of clear some of them started to melt! How do I prevent this?

I put my MP embeds in the freezer first for a little bit so they are very cold. I've had good luck with it this way. I'm sorry yours started to melt.

Thank you! I will take your advice. Yeah, my soap did turn a little bit deformed like but it wasn't to bad. In a way it turned out attractive. It is pretty cool.

I liked the idea that SoapBuddy had, did you try waiting until the soap was cooled down more before you poured it?

You can't really put a number on the temperature to pour at, since different bases act so differently (for instance, I have one that is ideal to pour at 95 degrees!). But I've had good luck pouring mine when it's at the point where a little skin forms on the top, but it's just warm enough to melt that skin when you stir it in. And make sure that when you pour, you're moving around the point of contact between warm and set-up soaps. I hope this helps!
