I made a loaf soap with a loofah in it and it was a big hit at this last fair I was at (BB Apricot Freesia) - but I wasn't 100% happy with the way I did it - although no buyers seemed to care/notice I suspect. It's always our own weird imperfections of our work we notice.
Here's what I did - I took a loofah - washed it, cleaned out the seeds that were there and then proceeded to cut it in what I was hoping to be equal parts with a serrated knife. I was a bit of achallenge to cut it. Some cuts/slices were better than others. Poured a bit of soap in the loaf and then placed each individual loofah slice in the loaf. My goal was to ensure soap was between each loofah slice when I cut it. I just wanted that look where a bit of soap was on both sides of the loofah.
What I'm thinking this time is while the loofah is dry and flat - with a ruler, cut the loofah (I think I can do it with a scissors quite easily) into equal 3/4 - 1" parts. THEN wash it and put it in the loaf. That way the loofah sections will be way more even.
Thoughts? or suggestions on this technique? Thanks
