Teach Soap

Anyone know how to make soap look like this? I really love them, they would be perfect favors for a friend's wedding. A little help? It looks more complicated than simple layering. Thanks!

We got the pic's from Milky Way and are not totally sure how they made them but think that this should work for you...

Just make the bar of soap like you usually would, one color, one pour. After you remove the soap from the mold dust the top of the soap with a gold mica. This will dust the entire surface, so if you want just the indented design to be gold you will need to give it a wipe with a damp cloth.

This will give you the same finished look as the soap pictured. However the loose mica powder on the outside of the soap will come off on your hands when you are handling the soap... you will want to wrap it until it is ready for use.

I made some truly horrible versions of these Batik soaps. I am positive that you can do better, especially with the gold dusting method that Bramble Mama described!
