I have seen soap made that is for sale and the soap is left in the mold and just packaged in celophane. Where are these molds sold( I assume they are cheap) and what about the sweating that happens on these soaps? I am still researching this soap making, trying to make the plunge.

I have some of these molds. You just melt your MP, add fragrance and/or color, then pour directly into these molds. The molds also act as your packaging. They either snap shut after the MP cools off or you snap on a lid.

I have googled a lot of soap suppliers and cannot find the individual soap molds with lids. Guess it would be pricey, but just wanted to see them.

PJ, thank you so much. I don't know how you found them. I've read that MP soaps sweat, do you know what is done about this after pouring in these molds? Also, somewhere I read about curing MP soaps, is this correct? Thanks again.

MP soap does not need to cure. It's ready as soon as it cools off.

A company out of Idaho, MMS The Sage, has something that might work...

Clamshells. They are .20-.25 each depending on how many you buy. If I ever purchase from anyone BUT Brambleberry(heaven forbid :-)
