Unfortunately, one of the fragrance oil bottles in my latest supply order leaked and now my 20 pounds of melt and pour base smells like coffee.

The order was delayed by weather twice, so I'm really behind on filling orders and need to get to soaping, but need to do fragrances like Lavender and Strawberry. Is there any salvaging these bases?

Once the scent is in the base, I don't know of any way to get it out.

Is your 20 lbs a block? Have you tried cutting away the outsides? Maybe once you get into the center it's won't smell so strong.

Hope you can find a fix.

Unfortunately, it's slices and the scent only seems to be getting stronger when I use it. :cry:

So I just ordered some more to *hopefully* be overnighted to handle the orders I have now and I'm going to come up with some coffee ideas to use up this stuff. But thanks for the replies ladies!

What if you heated the soap to the FO flashpoint? Wouldn't that flash off the scent?
