Hello all, I'm a newbie to this forum and I'm looking forward to all the knowledge and idea's that are here being shared by others. I do have a question. It appears that most of the post are very old, is this forum very active or am I just in the wrong area?

Thanks Bramble Momma. Believe it or not I've watched a ton of your video tutorials. I can't even begin to tell you how much I learned from them. Sorry for the late reply but I'd been under the weather since I joined!!!

HELP HELP HELP!!!!!

Ok, I made another attempt at working with my melt & pour bases today and again it was a DISASTER.

Can someone PLEASE tell me how many ounces of this melt & pour soap I should be trying to melt? I tried to melt 8 cups of M&P and it went horribly wrong. When I finally got it melted it hardened so fast I couldn't pour it, but never was cool enough to add mica or essential oil. Did I try to melt too much at one time? I've spent hundreds of dollars for my soaping craft and I have yet to get it right. This is crazy because i've watched all the Brambleberry & youtube video's, read extensively ( Apparently not enough) and I still am not doing something right. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!        :? :?

Where is the base from? Craft store bases are not the best quality and are usually difficult to work with.

Using a crock pot or a double boiler can help keep the soap melted longer. Just make sure not to overheat. :D

The bases are from WSP.
