I have molds that have 2 parts ie cupcakes - the bottom and the frosting. What techniques can be used to attached the top (frosting) to the bottom?

Pour a little bit of melted clear base between the two parts and let it harden. Just be sure to spritz the surfaces that will be adhering together will rubbing alcohol first to help them stick; otherwise, they will most likely fall apart once the clear base has set up.

I agree with both above....score them and stick together with melted soap =)
