I am definitely interested in making my soaps as natural as possible. Will be very helpful for my skin to not have as many eczema flare ups, as really fragrant and drying products always do that to me. :cry:

I was looking at Soap Queen TV and then the Bramble Berry site. Am I correct in saying the oxides, ultramarines, and clays are the natural colorants? And if so....the liquid colorants/pigments listed on Bramble Berry, are those the oxides/ultramarines? I was under the impression those things would be like a powder to mix in as Anne-Marie was explaining things in the video.

When she says to mix the liquid colors with glycerin, that means just with a small amount of melted base on the side right?

Also are the color blocks made from oxides and ultramarines as well?

I'm starting to get blackberries in my garden. I'd like to use them in some soap this coming weekend as a colorant. From what I've read, they will make it purple or black. I'm hoping for purple

I have a few options I'm wondering about...
1. Mashing and straining and adding the juice to the lye water amount.
2. Mashing and using the pulp in some way so I can keep the seeds in there for texture.
3. Other options I've not thought about?
4. Fragrance ideas? I have limited FO's nothing berry-like but I can always pick up some EO's locally.
