Most soap books really only tell you how much eo or fo to use in the soap (which in my opinion they should actually say, "Fragrances oil differ and you should get the recommended usage amounts from your supplier).
For Eo's, I'd go with books specifically geared towards them. Although they won't tell you how much to use in soap, they will explain the dangers of different ones.
