 Post subject: Candle Molds for Soap?

Ok., I thought I asked this somewhere before, but I can't find it or any reference to it anywhere... so please bear with me as I ask this possibly again...

Has anyone ever used the metal candle molds for soaps? I think some of the tube soap molds are really unique. Not having made candles before, I don't know how the ingredients are removed once they are solidified. I have not seen anyone mentioning upright candle molds, although i know many of the plastic or siilicone molds are double-purpose.

Thanks in advance... appreciate your help with this.

The only metal that would be ok to use with soap is stainless steel. If it's aluminum, you will get a reaction between the lye and the aluminum.
