Sigh, I added 14 g of fragrance oil to 1 lb soap brick. Why, oh, why are the bars all oily? The only thing I can do is???

Buy another brick, same SFIC brand
Melt this failed one down with it
Don't add more than about 1/4 tsp more of the scent. If that :?

That's almost a 0.5 oz. You should not have a problem adding that to a 1 lb. of glycerin MP soap base.

Where did the fragrance come from? Is it skin safe? Is it pure fragrance oil or was it diluted with something else?

Hi. I bought Dragon's Blood from the Sun's Eye Company and they said their scents are used in soap. So looking on Brambleberry wasn't pertinent because I realized they just have a fragrance calc for their own FOs. But it smells really good with the slight honey scent that the SFIC base has so I'm willing to buy another lb to melt down with the old, over-oily one and just add a little more scent, not the whole 14 grams again. And in the future, buy only soap suppliers scents so failure doesn't happen with a normal amount added. Thanks.

Did adding more soap help? Could it possibly have been glycerin dew?

Hi. I haven't received it yet, but I think it'll cut the oiliness and still smell heavenly. SFIC honey soap is very good quality. :)
