Hello all,
Does anybody know the difference between Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, can you replace one for the other in case of shampoo bars? the sites I have visited in the internet are kind of confusing.

Thank you

Ido

Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate is milder to the skin than ethoxylated alcohol sulfates such as Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.

They have a similar effect. I prefer to use Sodium lauryl sulfoacetate, because there's less problems with sensitivity issues and things like itching.

It's a harsher surfactant. Lot of companies use it because it costs less.
