My friend Michael asked for one of my tinted lip balms - he said something tawny.. So I thought "a guy who wants a tinted lip balm??? well he IS a hairdresser..."
So I mailed him my "pinecone" tinted lipbalm (a very sheer brownish shade) which he got the other day. Apparently, he likes it and is wearing it, however, he was hoping for something more like what he had a sample of... Jean Paul Gaultier Monseur lip balm in tawny. NOW he tells me!
I drove all over town yesterday, checking places that MIGHT carry such a product, but no luck. I found it on line, but I refuse to spend $18 plus shipping to see what this men's lip balm is all about and to get an actual product listing. Unfortunately, I have not found an ingredient list anywhere on line (I may renew my search this evening).
Which brings me to my questions... How is a men's lip balm different? Less shine perhaps? more manly packaging? In the pictures of the tinted lip balm I found on line, it looks like it is pretty light, which leads me to believe that it may have a "white" (titanium dioxide?) in it and a little color. I guess it just evens out lip tone rather than changing it.
Does anyone have any ideas? Petra
