Hello every body
I'm facing a real problem with my clear liquid soap when i try to thicken it with salt solution 20% it's get thick but it's becoms cloudy very cloudy what can i do?

Try less salt. Some people have had good luck with methylcellulose or guar gum. Or use less water to dilute the paste.

Hi there. Hope someone can help me. I'm new to soap making.
I'll use a recipe for HP cream (whipped) soap that has very good reviews but I want to make it more like a mid-heavy liquid soap. One that I will be able to use with a lotion pump. I'm afraid if all I do is add water to my finished cream soap it will spoil fast. Would it?
How is that made? Maybe If I change the ratio of hydroxides. My whipped soap recipe calls for 173gm of KOH and 35gm of NaOH. Can I go from whipped to mid-liquid by changing those ratios???
Is it better to follow a liquid soap recipe and do something to make it THICKER??
I will very much appreciate any comments on this.

I'm trying to make HP cream soap.This may be a whole lot to ask from this forum but I have tried to use soapcalc to calculate a recipe using the oils and additives I would like to use. I have really tried and soapcalc seems to be too complicated for me to understand. I don't get how to calculate the water %. Also you cannot calculate your lye if you need to use both NaOH and NOH at the same time. I'm sad because on my first try today my cream soap is way too heavy (like hard clay) and totally useless. Please tell me if calculating my recipe is something you can help me with (running it trough the soapcalc) or if there's any other way to check a recipe beforehand or if for new soap makers is always a trial-and error way to come up with a good batch and we all have to go trough a lot of waste of supplies before you get it right. I really want to get this right. Please help!
