Hi guys, hoping you can help me. I have been using a Castile soap base , recently my client says that the soap is separating (essential oils I guess) and that the fragrance has disappeared, does anyone have any ideas what has happened please......

I know this is quite an old thread, but it might help someone else.

Whenever I'm mixing in fragrances into liquid soap, I always make sure to mix it too much. This means, if the soap still looks/acts like you added water/extra liquid to it, keep mixing. The consistency you want is for the soap to turn back to it's original consistency before the liquid was added.

Also, adding distilled water to the soap base makes it easier for other fluids to be mixed in as well.

I can see the fragrance separating since the diluted soap now has more water. Water and oils do not mix. I would add a solubizer to the scent first, then add that to the liquid soap.
