I don't know if anyone has had this experience but. . .

I was thickening a liquid soap base for shampoo (which I had done before the same way) using xanthan gum. I measured the XG incorrectly and put in WAY WAY too much. Didn't panic yet, added MUCH more soap base to thin it back out. Now my liquid soap base is thinner, almost back to the original consistancy. BUT it has an awful feel to it. It is almost slimey. Not to be too graphic but, even thinner, it is very similar to snot. EWWW! I can't give away or sell this. Any suggestions?
