I am looking to preserve a sugar scrub recipe, do I calculate the preservative on the amount of oil/butter or whatever in the recipe or do you weight everything(including sugar) and than calculate preservative? Thanks

Calculate the amount of the preservative according to the total of all your ingredients. This includes sugar.
