I'm not sure if this topic belongs here or not, but I see that you can use EO for lip balm as well as lip flavoring. Are all EO's safe for lip balm at the suggested rate? Or are there certain ones that should be avoided or would just taste bad in general? Thanks!!!

Citrus oils can be sun sensitizing. Not all essential oils taste good in a lip balm. Mints can be used, but in a small/proper amount so it's not irrtating. Each essential oil should preferably be FCC graded, which means it's safe for internal use. I suggest that you read up on the essential oil that you would want to use. Not all of them are used at the same rate and some are not safe to use in a lip balm at all.
