Teach Soap

Has anyone soaped this one in CP soap? I made a batch with it today and it accelerated trace. It said on the web site that it didn't. I soaped at around 110 degrees with my regular recipe. It started out fine, so I used a stick blender for a couple of minutes. I turned around to get the mold, and the soap in the pot tuned to thick pudding. No pouring of this one. I glopped it in the mold and I hope for the best.

I checked with Caitlin in Production who is using that fragrance for a private label client and she said:

"Weird. I have done lots of batches of this for the stain stick and laundry soap testing, but I am also putting it in the mold right away, and whisking, not stick blending. My batches do accelerate some, but I am using obscene amounts of coconut oil, clay, and I mix the lye at about 160 since the look of the laundry soap doesn't matter. I will throw it in with a regular recipe test today, soaping correctly with it to double check though."

It went through 'normal' testing (small batch, 5 pound batch) before bringing in so I'm hoping for no surprises! I'll keep you posted =)

I was making a 4 color swirl. I bet if it was just one color soap, I might have been fine.

I finally got a chance to make this one myself and it didn't accelerate or act funky for me. I ended up doing a 7 color rainbow soap with it. Full tutorial is at the link below:
