Linda, I will blend just to use this up.... I also do not think it will be on my reorder list.

I have the batch curing in my extra room, along with about 10 other batches of various scents, and when I open the door, the only one I can smell is the Dragon's Blood. It's not quite as horrible now, but it still makes me want to gag. bleh...

Its odd how a scent can be loved and hated pretty much equally. Few people seem to find it just ok. My husband uses nothing else in the shower, it MUST be dragon's blood.

I don't think I'd want my husband around if he showered with it!

Question is, how did it work as catfish bait? I remember how ticked off my mom was at me for using soap as catfish bait when I was a kid.

I've used a piece of anise oil soap to catch fish.

Wait wait wait. Soap catches fish!? I thought it was worms! No wonder we never caught anything... except my little bro and some trees... and the bottom.

My DB soap did not catch a single fish, but I was to get rid of it. :) A lot of people use soap bait for catfish. Here's my theory for a good soap bait: Very old frying oil that was preferably used to fry fish, soaped with just enough lye to make it solid enough to stay on the hook, and only scented by the rancid, stinky oil itself. Smelly lard or tallow would also be good.
I have seen people catch fish with anise scented soap too.
