Patchouli is one of those oils that improves with age. I have a small bottle that's around 12 years old that I save for special projects.

So stock up when the prices go down! :D

I have to confess---- I can't ride the patchouli wagon, I just don't like it at all. Not straight, not mixed--- only have it around for the few customers of mine who love it. I call mine "Hippie Dreams" because it takes me back to the early '70's and life in the dorms. Just can't develope a like for it...............

I was supprised to find that some FO, EOs that I don't like other folks just love. I didn't like lavender or patchouli when I started making soap but they grew on me over time and I've got customers who want nothing else. So I guess you make what sells.

Soap buddy or Majic Hands, Do you use patchouli EO or FO normaly? I asked that beacuse it seems that your saving some EO for special projects? What kind of special projects would that be??? I thought Id switch to patchouli EO now the price is down. Does it fade ?

Yes, I use Patchouli normally. I have at least 4 lbs. for formulating. My 20 yr. old Patch is just for my own personal use. The rest gets used up in my products. Patchouli is very long lasting; it's a base note in blends.
