Teach Soap

I took a chance here, I know, and blended FO's from 2 different companies, made a 2 lb batch of CP soap with 1.3 oz of NG's SOCP and 0.5 oz Symphony Scent's Illumination FO. (What can I say, I love to experiment!) Wow, I'm having difficulty describing other than it just being fantastic. The scent of citrus and chili peppers combined with the woodsy, almost incense like scent of Illumination FO is staying with me long after I put the bar of soap down! No discoloration at all, did accelerate a little but nothing I couldn't handle. Hope it sticks!

I guess another way to describe it would be a citrus fruit stand inside of a yoga studio! LOL

I really like NG's SOCP, I just wish it were stronger. I've had to up the amounts to get a scent that lasts.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

I tried the SOCP recently, but I added some pepper eo to it. It is very nice. Without looking it up, I think I used it at 4% (if I recall correctly the max usage rate was 5%) and did 1% of the eo. It is fully cured now and whatever I did, it has stuck nicely and smells divinely!

I am not familiar with the other FO, bit I can imagine a woodsy scent going nicely with the citrus. I love to blend and am always trying different things. My "Fairy Nectar" blend has over 15 EO's in it. So you can probably understand that the hardest part for me is describing my blends! Lol

Linda, I have had to use up to the amounts too, smells great though and everyone loves it. Tammy, it sounds like you love experimenting as much as I do, in fact I probably have too much of the "Mad Scientist" in me... I must experiment with EO's, sounds like one can get very creative there too.

Yes, you can get creative with eo's too, but you must be extra careful to use the proper amounts, as each eo has a different percentage and each category is usually different too. Some are as low as 0.02%. So study is definitely necessary!
