Teach Soap

I seem to have misplaced my recipe for this. Can anyone help me out please?

This one is off of the Teach Soap site:

1/2 cup melted transparent Melt & Pour base
2 cups water
1 envelope Knox unflavored Gelatin
1/2 oz Germaben II
Fragrance oil
3 or 4 colorants
3 or 4 small containers

I haven't tried it - but it sounds like fun.
Does it have to be refrigerated because of the gelatin?
Is there a vegetarian alternative to gelatin?

I experimented last night and ended up using liquid soap and a polyglucose surfactant instead. The melted MP hardened up too much.
So far, so good.

I found this one over at CraftGossip. It's pretty similar to the Teach Soap one (I wonder if the salt is in there as a preservative?):

1 packet of Unflavored gelatin 15g (1tbs)
1 tsp of Salt
1/2 cup of Liquid soap
3/4 cup of Water
Food Coloring
Fragrant oils or essential oils
Plastic storage jar with lid

Bramble Girl, as far as I know, there is no vegetarian alternative to gelatin except agar agar (which is also used to grow mold in petri dishes so maybe not such a good choice for this body project?)

Hi Anne-Marie,
This is my one that has carrageenan, not agar in

150g Melt & Pour Soap Base of choice

250g/ml Water

1 tsp Carrageenan Powder (natural vegetable gellant)

Approx 3-4ml/g Fragrance or Essential Oils

How to make the Jelly

Warm the water in the microwave (or on the cooktop) and then stir in Carrageenan. Stir well with a balloon whisk to remove any lumps
Heat again until quite hot (not boiling) and remove from the heat and mix again
Melt Soap Base and then combine with the water and Carrageenan mixture
Stir in Colour to taste
Add Fragrance or Essential Oils and stir well
Pour into cups or wide necked jars and leave until set (can be refrigerated if desiredHTH
