I occasionally sell extra soap on Etsy and hand out small bars as swag at book signings. It occurred to me that I might be putting myself at risk if someone has an allergic reaction. Any input on insurance?

RLI has reasonably priced insurance: insuremyhomebiz.com
The do have a cap of $5000/year for your earnings so if your business makes more than that, you'll need to look elsewhere.

I've been looking into insurance too! I'm torn between the RLI and the HCSG. It'll be my first business and it'll start out small but the benefits of HCSG looks really good. :/
