I am considering selling lip balm at the flea markets which are located outdoor. Can anyone suggest few ways on how to keep balm and any other products that have a melting point not melting during hot weather? Especially the product on display. Thank you.

Only keep one flavor of each on the table. Keep the rest in a cooler. If the ones on the table don't get sampled, you could exchange the one on the table with a one from the cooler.

Would you recommend any specific cooler or ice because I probably will have to be outdoors for 6-8 hr. Thanks

Coleman should work fine. I use reusable freeze it packs. The frozen packs go on the bottom of the cooler. Then a couple of paper towels to absorb the moisture as the ice its start to warm up. Then any products in a plastic tray so they don't get wet.

Thank you for a good suggestion! Did you have an experience with shipping similar product during hot season and how did you handle that or may be you can suggest something.

I live in hot Palm Springs, CA. I ship my lip balms during the summer and just as long as they don't sit somewhere in a hot truck, they arrive fine.

Good to know. Irene, since you leave in different climate than me ( I am from Chicago), do you find that people still buy lip balm all year around? Can you suggest places that are worth selling the product and do people buy it because you have large selection with good flavors and affordable price or just because they need it? You see, I have only few flavors and mostly sold it during cold season to people I know and I am not sure if large selection will make a difference.

During the year, people buy for gifts. In the fall and winter my customers buy more. I sell the most from my web site. I think there's about 6 flavors there.
