This is the third time I've created this thread. :lol:

I just made my first batch today. 95% coconut oil, 5% castor oil 20% superfat. I insulated it (then found out I didn't have to do that), and checked on it after about an hour and 15 minutes. It was still a little soft on top, but I went ahead and unmolded it so that I could still cut it before it became too hard. There was a layer of oil on top that may or may not reabsorb.

1The oil reabsorbed about 30 minutes after I cut it!

I used Tangerine Wow from BB. The fragrance oil is peach, but it doesn't smell like peaches anymore. I don't think it withstood saponification very well.

Looks nice! That's about the recipe I use, and I really like it for my middle-aged skin.

I've been afraid to make salt bars in a loaf, because of the cutting issue. So I make them in individual molds. These are salt and rose clay.

Mellifera, they do look pretty... just a hint of pink! Do you like using the salt bars? It is not the favorite of my skin.
